Welcome to the website of the Philippi Baptist Church of Cleveland, Tennessee. My name is Sam Hooker and I am the pastor of this wonderful group of people. We would like for you to know that we as a people together exist for the purpose of lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ through worship and the Word of God. We exist to make Jesus Christ known to all of our neighbors, friends, relatives and to all with whom we come into contact. We seek to help believers grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and to grow in ministry also.

We believe in the authority of the Bible as our only source of following and knowing God. We trust the Holy Spirit will illuminate our minds and hearts to understand how to serve the Lord. We believe the Scriptures to be absolutely infallible, inerrant and able to meet every need of individuals and churches alike. We believe in the God of the Bible as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. We believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary and his resurrection as the only hope of salvation. We believe in the soon coming of our Lord for His church, those who are saved through faith in Him.

We invite you to visit our church if you are ever in Cleveland, Tennessee. We love to worship the Lord with singing, teaching and preaching the gospel message of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are unashamedly Baptist in our doctrine and beliefs. We believe that we should be good citizens of our city, state and the nation for which we pray that God would lead and bless.
